RE: [Avid-L2] let the flaming begin

I quite enjoyed the pace and the selection of the edits.

However, I completely agree with the comment below that the GoPros just didn't cut in well with the other cameras. It wasn't so much the fish-eye lens as it was the falloff of the dark vignettes on the edges that distracted me.

Well... (you might want to put your protective goggles on first) - to me:

the material mix is distracting - either fish-eye/soft edges or standard planar the editing is distracting and not on the music, i.e. not supporting the music, sometimes too quick off the instruments, too less wides on the tuttis, way too much and too long on the conductor - disorientating.
cameras are too static (only one little creep-in zoom, a bit of panning on the conductor/flute to brass section) cameras are partially badly placed (especially scoreboard one)

I like the artistically approach with the extreme wide angles but the camera have to get placed better in the orchestra, also some more wide shots would be helpful. I think none of the clients I'm working with would buy it. However, like I said, I like the approach and following this more consequently, refine the edit and it would be something that works for one project. I strongly support the idea and effort you put into this and encourage you to keep this up!

Sincerely

Jo
