Important: the versioner ONLY works on systems under Support.

If you just bought an upgrade, and want to keep using your dongle, you have to use the software activation key that you received after upgrading, go to http://www.avid.com/US/support/upgrade/video and trade that activation code for an dongle updater (.avd) there.
