I' ve been on the phone with AJA already this morning. So far, they've been unable to solve the problem. I do appreciate your sincere effort to help, though.
Note that on this page:
http://www.aja.com/en/support/avid/
the linked driver is 10.3; however the Open IO download link includes a note saying that Open IO must be used with driver 10.1. Regardless, I'm unable to get the IO Express to work with media composer, even after a complete, careful, reinstall of all the components- even the physical ones (I have a spare IO Express and swapped it in.) I suspect that 10.3 leaves something behind even after the uninstall (I initially incorrectly loaded the wrong driver) - but that's just a theory.
Are you using this configuration successfully? We were using it for months without trouble until I loaded 6.0.1.1, However, I now cannot get either of the failed bays to work with media composer, even with 6.0.1 - which is working perfect in another bay with a nearly identical configuration. (If it weren't for the Adobe and FCP licenses, I'd just clone that known-good hard drive - and may end up doing that anyway, then dealing with the license problems.)
I'll post if there's a fix - it's probable I'm doing something... uh... unique (aka: stupid) that I'm not seeing. Hopefully, once we find the solution, I'll be able to save someone else from making the same (or whatever it was) mistake.
