We have one and in the end it didn't quite do what we wanted. In SD it
captures in pal 720x576 but without a 16:9 flag so not only won't it capture
in 1024x576 the files won't play in other players in the right aspect.
Apart from that it does work easily. And in HD there aren't the same issues.
For our application we needed 1024x576 or a flag and it does neither..

I spent some time earlier in the week trying to get one of these to capture
a size other than 720 x 480 from an SD-SDI source. Was looking to make it
640 x 480. No luck. Open up the options dialog, and there is only a slider
for bitrate.
On Windows 7, there is a separate Control Panel installed; but, all options
are grayed out. I presume that it is meant for adjusting other Blackmagic
hardware.
