[Avid-L2] Just installed Avid 5.5.3 - Main bus thread - I can't open it

 

I have lion 10.7.4 on my mac, and I just installed Avid mediacomposer 5.5.3 -
Previously I had Avid MC 6.0, but my computer had a lot of problems running it. So now I wanted 5.5.3 again, but I couldn't uninstall it, in the application-folder there are a lot Avid folders -including the uninstaller. But when I run it, I get the message - there's nothing to uninstall..
So I thought I would give it a shot and just install the 5.5.3..but after install and when I try to open it - I just get the Main bus thread, I tried install and uninstall a lot of times - but same result. In the application Avid - there are also no MC state - site settings - user settings,Avid didn't have time to create them. so I can't even delete these and make Avid recreate them..

Extra info - I recently got a SSD in my computer, where all my programs and user settings where migrated to, I don't know if anything happen in that process.

Right now I try to install Avid 6.0.1.1. and see if my computer is better running avid with the SSD.

Is it impossible to run Avid 5.5.3 on lion? did I not do my homework? Or could a solution be to do a total clean-up of my computer - and install everything - lion/every applications again..
