Oh, and re-reading earlier in your thread, you can't use just any spinning media. You need Red Drives. I'm guessing there are people violating their warranties and re-building red drives, but I don't know that for a fact. I know of a couple privately owned red ones that may be available for rental - both of which, I'm pretty sure, are outfitted for SSD.
(Seems to me RED should rent RED media, if nothing else, for projects like this. I know they're not a rental company, but they're in hollywood, and they're... you know... RED. Just saying.)
