Walter,
I know one of the main reasons you choce Avid over Adobe was hardware
compatability and integration. I have been told by Adobe product team that
they have re-written the hardware integration layer in CS6. Theis will
result in much tighter, stable and better integration for AJA, MAtrox, BMD
etc.

CS6, etc
In the next week or so, I'll be releasing an article that better details our
reasons for choosing MC6 over CS6 now that the product is released.
Obviously I couldn't give all the reasons before as it was all under lock
and key.
To be sure, CS6 is a HUGE step forward and Adobe finally got a really good
group of editors to give excellent feedback. But there are still enough
areas that cause inefficiency in storytelling that myself and my editors all
felt we need to give that product another year or so to develop. If
anything, they need to cut back on some of the features and just allow the
editor to cut a story.
A lot of folks are going to be really really happy with it and deservedly
so. We are definitely going to be using it for some projects and if some of
the issues we have now get addressed, then we can reconsider using it in
broadcast.
