[Avid-L2] Re: Black Magic Hyper Deck not maintaining metadata when fast importing

 

Found this answer in Black Magic's FAQ section

Can I use normal SATA discs with spinning platters?
No, these disks are not fast enough for uncompressed video capture and playback.

Doesn't say anything about DNxHD though.
