have no idea what "raw" video actually is.
They go on a lot about compressed vs raw, which is absurd. R3D, for
example, is both raw and heavily compressed. The benefits for raw certainly
exist, but in many cases the added complexity of working with a raw image
outweighs the benefit provided by the "digital negative".
If a DP can white balance and expose properly a raw image isn't going to
offer that much more usually. I'd much rather have a solid edit-ready codec
and a forgiving gamma curve in most cases.
It's interesting, but I'm very skeptical.
