I would try transcoding to dnx36 -- that's almost 1/5 the datarate of
dnx175, which should make quite a difference.
If you have 2 internal drives (separate from your boot drive), it
wouldn't hurt to stripe them as Raid-0 (but of course that's a
destructive process, so back up your drives first.)
