I'm reading several postings on the forums of people having issues with 3rd party Open I/O. Mostly stuff that appears driver-related and might be fixed at some point.
Also note that 24p PAL is not supported on any of the Open I/O devices, only on DX.
Plus:
Features not included in the first version of the Avid Open I/O:
• Ancillary Data
• LTC I/O (Timecode over RS-422 is supported)
• Audio Punch-In
• Full Frame Stereoscopic 3D Simultaneous Capture/Digital Cut
• Hardware Codec Encode/Decode
• Multiple I/O Hardware Support in CPU
• Universal Mastering
• Thin Raster Timeline Modes
