[Avid-L2] Sony PVM OLED 24P flicker fixed

 

If you have a PVM 2541, Sony has a hardware fix that will eliminate the 24P flicker that is bothering some folks. Call their support number and ask to get yours repaired. Unfortunately, it needs to be sent in for the fix, but they will send a shipping box and the shipping is covered both ways.

If you came from CRTs, you probably didn't notice anything because it's exactly the same as CRTs. If you came from LCDs, which have slower response times you never saw any flicker (but you were seeing smearing in stead). Now you can have it either way you like it with the new fix.
