Before checking these bugs - a couple of things:
Usually, you want to try these things with a FRESH user setting. Stuff like this can happen from corrupt user settings.
Also, is the NUM lock on, if you're using a PC?
Other than that, I'll definitely check those bugs. Did you try typing 0 (zero) to center pan? That should work too.
