Actually, the original idea came from a Greek guy, Evangelos Achillopoulos,
and he has it patented as well.
This was discussed several years ago on the FCP list, when Chris Halasz and
me were talking about developing the same thing. It came to live and was
called 'livecut' (and it does work with Avid...)
