Michael,
If you bought a new MC 6 license and a seperate dongle then when you redeem the activation for an updater.avd file - that will blast the dongle for MC 6 and it should only see MC 6. If you have an older MC license and have bought and uprgade to MC 6, and you trade in your upgrade activation for a updater.avd file - that will update the dongle and you should be able to use it on MC 6 and back to MC 5.5.
