Ah, yes. I believe that is correct. But he seems to be blaming Avid for the character limitation. When I don't believe that it's their fault. If he wants to live on the wild side and run the risk of the file names not being Win compatible then who am I to stop him. But I think that on the Windows side that Microsoft got past the 27 character limitation with Win2K. I think. I know it's not there in Vista. I just double checked it.
