I think you can render all of the audio to the same sample rate then export it.

Great question - QT reference works with the audio mixdown check box selected for both AIFF and WAV (on the Mac where I'm working this morning.)
My QT ref export won't work w/o the mixdown because of mixed edit rates, even in an audio-only timeline... which might be a clue to my problem. I'm using CD music imported in an older standard def project.
