What happens is this:
1. Bring in the files in a 23.98p project, change the FIELD MOTION column to 3:2 pulldown. This will remove the pulldown and the clip will essentially be treated as 23.976p.
2. Open the bin with those 23.976 clips in your 24.00 project. Avid will apply motion adapters. You can manually change these. For filmout, you wouldn't want any pulldown applied.
As to how you can ever redo this for conform and grading, I have no clue.
