I can give it a go:
Dell D830 Laptop workstation with 4gb running W7-64 Ultimate
MC5.03 Software only
No external audio devices but do have the inbuilt mic.
I get drop down options (with no camera plugged into the FW port) for
video as 'EQ' and audio as windows mixer, with no other options to choose.
This will only allow me to enable A1 and A2 (unsurprisingly) but it will
record from the mic, windows media player or (I assume) anything else
going to the speakers (skype call - will have to try remote VO!!)
My workflow as I mentioned earlier is to do it with the W7 tool (which
has an 'is this thing on' meter) and import the .wma's
