Re: [Avid-L2] Missing audio in a sequence... Play along with the mystery!

Anna,
Thanks for that. I've been having a problem in 5.03 when I mix down to a stereo track
and it won't play in the timeline. The track will play in the source monitor.
I had figured a pain in the ass workaround, but I just made a stereo mixdown
and tried your suggestion and the mixdown now plays in the timeline.
This is great
Thanks,
Alan

Steve easy fix.

This happens to me because I get keyboard happy or mouse happy at times.

You mentioned dark grey. Get him to open up the track control panel and click the button farthest right. That should change the color back and allow him to hear the track.

What was the other issue?

On that sequence, the last thing the guy can remember doing before he lost audio (it DID have it at one point) was he was trying to slip and slide a clip. Possibly some option clicking he did went astray. The sequence has multiple clips and audio is missing on ALL of the clips, not just the one he was slipping and sliding.
