On the FCP side of things with aja cards there was a polling Text piece of code that I believe would be placed in the FCP plugins folder IIRC. It helped with certain Sony decks that would abort during capture with aja products. It helped with the J30-SDI deck and many others. I wonder if this is a similar issue? I don't know of an Avid polling text fix but I'd call AJA, their support is excellent and they can clarify the polling Text code plug in.
