Decide to download a trial version of MC6 to run on one of or Mac Pros. This is a dual 6 core 2.93 Xeon box with 16GB of Ram.
There is no hardware attached. It is a software only system.
It is a qualified cpu but admittedly we are running an unsupported OS 10.6.8.
All seems to fine except for testing the reason we decided to check out MC6. Exporting multit-track QuickTime files.
The regular audio output settings will not let me select direct out or anything other than mono or stereo.
The export dialog box will let me select direct out, but the resulting files are mono or stereo only.
Any thoughts?
Before we went through the trouble of upgrading the OS to lion, thought I would check if there are any other possibilities.
This wouldn't require the system be attached to a/v hardware like a DX box or etc? I can see that for monitoring but certainly not for export.
