We haven't hit bottom... we are subterranean. Every freelance job out there has 150 other applicants fighting over it. The market is over-saturated and the film schools are churning out thousands of people a year who are willing to work for nothing and driving wages down. All you can do is persevere. This poptent thing is just a model of what is happening in the industry in general. It just seems more ridiculous because its a website. Instead of "poptent" substitute the words "film and television industry" when you watch the video...it's enough to make you weep.
