Getting back to the point (I think) is that as new OSs are developed, newer
computers ship with the newest OS. You can't always back-rev. It's fine to
stay static on current systems, but as you add the next one, you may not
have a choice. MS has been far, far better about this than Apple, but it is
always a concern. That being said, Win 7 Pro 64-bit is a very good OS, even
from the POV of people who like Mac OS. The sorry state for enterprise
customers is that both Apple and MS are going for a unified OS design that
bridges mobile and standard computing platforms. Sucks for enterprise
customers.
