[Avid-L2] Re: Media Composer audio options

 

Be careful with USB products used in conjunction with Windows-based Media Composer.

I don't know about the mixer you are thinking about -- but Avid cannot "see" a Shure X2u XLR-to-USB adapter. Those that have bought it, such as myself, need to use 3rd party products like the free Audacity.

This PC thing is well-documented on Avid's forum -- but it's possibly not an issue on Macs.

I'm not sure if this is the same thread -- but I second the vote for Mackie's Big Knob -- with the only reservation being that it does not have a mic preamp.
