[Avid-L2] Re: Hard Drive Shortages to Drive Up Cost of Video Editing

 

Bouke,

Who got you all cranky today? So I am not allowed to complain about the issues with file based workflows now? I'm not telling you that you have to use tape. I really don't care what you use. But the reality is that the file based workflows are the wild west right now, and that is causing a lot of folks pain. And I see more than my share of that pain.

Obviously you think file based is great. I think is is less efficient than the tape based workflows we have in place for many users and yes, especially in my universe. Let's just leave it at.
