Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Closed Caption Q

This wasn't a question to me, was it?
(if so, i can't answer it, i'm from Europe. My only knowledge from CC is
tech specs and the captions i generated myself for testing. My sony does
show them as pop-up, as intended...)

At work there is an older Sony CRT in the machine room that will display CC
on screen. It has an option to display the CC with something like a roll up
ish text. I got confused when my tek scope would display the CC as single
and or double lines but the Sony had this rolling like display. I was told
by Tek that some monitors have that as an option. I don't know if there was
a way to turn off that display behavior. My final conclusion was the Tek
scope was displaying the CC as it should be and the Sony was modifying it.
Does this seem correct?
