and here everyone is clamoring for Avd to support 3rd party IO/storage boxes....taking more revenue out of the Avid stream and putting more pressure on the company to sell a volume of low cost software. I would bet Avid would like to see NLE's be even a less percentage of its income while offsetting that revenue with a variety of products. Avid has, and must, continue to focus it's NLE offerings (kill Symphony, anyone?) and diversify what it does offer if it is to prosper in the future. It will not prosper selling software packages to an increasingly niche market.
