Which patch are you running?
Generally MC installs the uninstallers for the currently installed
version alongside the currently installed app.
Those are the ones to run if you want to uninstall the current MC
version from your machine.
It does have an uninstall complete message; I did it last night.
If you run a more recent uninstaller on older software I don't think it
will be guaranteed to remove all the elements on the BOM script as
things may have changed from the installed version to the one you are
about to install?

Subject: [Avid-L2] Stupid question part 2
So after finding an INinstaller in the patch installer, and using it to
uninstall MC, when I start the patch installer I see this:
It is highly recommended that you uninstall previous versions before
continuing with this installer.
Uninstallers are located here:
/Applications/Avid_Uninstallers/AvidMediaComposer
NOTE: This installation may take several minutes and you will need to
restart your machine upon completion.
Now I remember why I was confused about where the UNinstaller actually
is located.
Couldn't Avid hire a summer intern to update the flash page on their
installer.
Plus add an "Uninstall Complete" message to indicate it finished.
