I have seen some decks work like Sonys but Panny 1400 not work with an avid all in one com port to 422 adaptr. Changing to the older style rosetta stone with a cable from com port to adapter then adapter to 422 on the other side of the adapter got the Pannys working. I don't know why this made it work but I think it might have something to do with how well the circuitry is balanced on the 422 side. Kinda like a common ground versus an isolated/flkoating ground.

The Com Port shows up as working in Device Manager with a Microsoft driver, I can select the Com Port 1 in the Deck Config, but when I go to auto configure or manually configure a deck Avid doesn't see any decks.
