So the "new" FCP will be super fast and ultra practical? That WOULD constitute an eye-popping paradigm change! Especially coming from the design team that had to discover that timecode integrity and a stable clip/media file relationship (which they still haven't achieved) were not frills.
I believed the earlier posts that said that Apple doesn't care about professional users like me. If this new release makes that official, that just means this product is returning to its roots.

I hate to say it, but in theory you've just defined yourself as the ideal
customer for the "new" FCP ;-)
... And if your clients don't like the changes, I hope you can get along well
with the next Premiere Pro version ;-)
