[Avid-L2] Importing .mp4 files into Avid MC 5

 

I am having an issue with .mp4 files sent to me that were recorded on a Sony EX3. I downloaded the Sony program XDCAM_EX_to_Avid, which first time did produce a file, but Avid would not import it. Now it simply doesn't produce a file any more.

From VLC Media Player here's the Stream 0 and Stream 1 info:
Stream 0
Type: Video
Codec: mpgv
Language: English
Resolution: 1920 x 1088
Screen Resolution: 1920 x 1080
Stream 1
Type: Audio
Codec: twos
Language: English
Channels: stereo
Sample Rate: 48,000 Hz
Bits per sample: 16

The Sony program states that it will only work on HQ 35mbps 1080p files, which I believe I have, but don't know how to confirm that.

Ultimately I need to get the .mp4 files into Avid MC 5 on a PC. Any clues anyone?
