Hmm.
For me I'm pretty sure I get correct results when I export DNXHD as 709 (in the codec settings), and import into the avid as rec709 (not RGB).
Definitely wrong when I import into CM5 as RGB.

I tested this using CS5 and MC5 on OS 10.6
