I haven't tested it recently, but according to this thread -

Avid 5.0.3 is now working with any flavor of nanoflash media. Might be worth downloading the 30 day trial to test.

Last time I tried it, you could 'AMA' the clip, but it wouldn't play above 50 Mbps - something to do with the length of the GOP, or the compression rate, or something like that. You could, however, transcode to DNX with no problem, then it plays fine. The AMA stuff gets updated regularly - so MC 5.x is a better option for your client, but they'll need an intel mac.
