Not to subtract from your valid points, but I read this award as a historical acknowledgement of their pioneering effort in tapeless production. Remember the first EditCam was developed in the early nineties, it recorded omf media in AVR resolutions, and you could edit in MC straight from the EditCam disks. This was almost 20 years before tapeless became common, quite mind blowing at the time, but way too early for the industry.

I have no experience with todays GFCAM but would assume it's meant to work with MC through AMA?
