rsync. It can synchronize 2 folders structures maintaining Creation dates,
permissions, etc.
all you have to do is open terminal, and type *rsync -aP "drag source
folder" "drag destination folder" *the -aP options are for -a= archive mode
(copy recursively, preserve times and permissions), the -P option is in case
you want to see which file is being copied, at what rate and how many are
left, looks cryptic but once you get it is very useful, give it a try, you
won't regret.
I've found this is the safest way to move material, and if you cancel the
operation, when you start checks the files that have already been copied and
skip them.
