immediate convert. The difficulty, at least for me, is getting a transcript
in the first place. Sadly most of the work I do has no budget for
transcripts, what I usually get it a very broad paraphrased "transcription"
that is often more frustrating than anything else. I'll try to make sure
that all our suites retain the ScriptSync functionality on the off chance
that we'll finally get a chance to use it properly, but I can certainly see
Avid's conundrum.
I guess it's a lesson about being reliant on tools or technologies outside
your control.
