Well, it is now pretty explicit in my offices that any info received
about technical matters is to be assumed incorrect until vetted
through me or another trusted source. This is especially true of
anything having to do with compression and file formats.
Simple statements that are almost always not true:
It's "uncompressed".
We do it all the time. [When said by a producer.]
We have it "in hi res."
It will only take five minutes.
"You can just..." [anything]
