though. I want to say, for us at least, that it was a communication
problem with the deck. The tracks were arming incorrectly and if we
just held down the record key to monitor the input, it worked fine,
but when we went to lay the sequence down...nothing.
Since its a digibeta deck, are you trying to perform a digital cut?
Assuming you are, may be worth double checking your deck configuration
settings? In our issue, I want to say that it was thinking the deck
was DVCam.
Or at least attempting to see if the Avid is outputting a signal, but
the deck just isn't reading it.
On that same note, it might be a bit curious that you are outputting 8
channels to a 4 channel deck. Don't know if that might have anything
to do with it, theoretically shouldn't affect, but maybe worth trying??
