Re: [Avid-L2] Re: list of Avid stuff you miss in FCP?

I find that when I collapse something - usually to take a group of
logos, some text and a background for a promo tag - I segment select
the segments I want to collapse instead of having to mark clip, then
select the proper tracks. So there are certainly ways I could do it
without mousing, but mousing is usually quicker. So since I'm already
mousing in the timeline, I click the collapse button I have mapped to
the timeline or S/R window.

My main reason for collapsing is so I can do a transition from a
single track to a group of tracks, so I collapse the group to a single
track, allowing a clean transition between them. Or to do a clean
transition between two adjoining groups of tracks.
