I'm not sure about the others, but Sorenson Squeeze will be version 6.0,
which is an upgrade over the MC v4.0 kit.

Certainly the 30 free trial is an option.

But I don't want to be surprised by what the upgrade price might be to
version 5 from 2.x when I can lock in the version 5 upgrade price (free) by
purchasing version 4 now.

Quoting the Avid Store "Media Composer 5 is coming soon, but why wait? Buy
or upgrade to Media Composer 4, starting April 12, 2010, and get a free
upgrade to Media Composer 5 when it's available."

Are there any clues as to what the version 5 upgrade price might be?
