I'm guessing here, but:
The breathing could be that the region stabilize is only a single
point tracker. More complex trackers allow for three point tracking
with also does z rotation with the x and y position of the track.
Another could be that it's not sub-pixel tracking. The breathing could
be from a less than ideal tracking point, or rotation in the handheld
that is NOT tracked by a single-point tracker, or just limitations in
the quality of the tracker. All trackers are NOT created equal. The
one in Resolve is better than the one in Color and so on.
Like I said before, either try a more powerful tracker in something
like Symphony or Mocha, or curb your expectations.
