If I Send To DVD Authoring and burn a DVD through Sonic DVD (or Avid DVD or whatever it's called now), HD originated DVDs (SD DVD not BluRay) always come out letterbox. A client played this in a DVD player with a HD tv and the image apparently played full screen 16x9. If I watch the DVD on a 4x3 TV, it is letterboxed. Is Sonic embedding some sort of 16x9 flag? What is actually happening? Generally for Anamorphic DVDs, I've been exporting QT Ref of HD sequence and importing back into a NTSC 30i project. It imports as Anamorphic and I burn DVDs from there.
