[Avid-L2] need Avid FX help - not exporting alpha channel

I am trying to export QT movies with alpha channels from Avid FX and it
appears not to work correctly. I have tried selecting both "straight" &
premultiplied" alpha in the render settings.

When I display the alpha channel in the composite window in Avid FX, it
shows black and white in the correct locations, so it appears to be fine in
the composition.

But when I render a composition, then import the movie into Avid, no
alpha. When I reimport the movie back into Avid FX as a test, no alpha.

I have been thought the preferences and project settings, but nothing is
amiss. There must be some setting somewhere I am overlooking - I have done
this in the past with text animations and it has worked fine. Anyone have
any ideas?

Thanks,

- Rich
