[Avid-L2] MCsoft 5 requires Snow Leopard 10.6.3 what will upgrade due to QT Pro

Hadn't realized I'd have to upgrade the OS to 10.6.3 for MCsoft ver. 5 but oh well it's only $29.95.  Curious if I upgrade the existing OS will I lose my QT Pro that came from an FCP 6 install?  I plan to carbon copy clone before upgrading and maybe down the line try a ground up install.  Is there any issue doing a ground up install from the upgrade disk?
