[Avid-L2] couple upgrade questions v4 -> v5

I'm upgrading MC to v5 (the downloaded version, not the full box), and
I'm trying to match the compatibility chart in the README. I'm running
on a Mac.

How would I go about updating Avid FX from v.5.8 to v.5.8.1 which the
README says is recommended for Snow Leopard?

Also, I believe I have updated BCC AVX correctly to 6.0.7, but I can't
find any way of confirming what version I have currently installed --
anyone know how to do that?
