you hit the nail on the head. now that MC has all these new features, why is Symphony still around? put the color tools in MC, kill Symp, and have 2 main products. MC and DS. the lower cost (offline) and higher cost(online).
Apple didi it when Steve Jobs came back on board. he killed all thier products except what was CORE to the business(at that time) pro level and consumer level. 1 product for each. and Apple is somehow profitable again, right? i haven't heard those nasty rumors of Microsoft bailing Apple out in a long time. (not true BTW).
And, as tony pointed out, nothing new on the DS front. there should be all kinds of juicy stuff , but there isn't.... ;-(
