Re: [Avid-L2] Access files on PC drive

If they were running XP on their laptop and they didn't unmount it, the equivalent of ejecting it on a mac, then it's possible that could be the problem. In Vista and Win7 you no longer have to unmount them unless you set it up to have to do that. By default you can just pull a drive, but it results in slightly slower write speeds by disabling disc caching.

That may be the way to go. I have not had this problem before from PC
drives but client came in with a PC laptop and mounted the drive no
problem. If I can get the PC on my network I will try this.
