Depends on how you set it up with the Spyder, I'd think. If you set it up to
perform Rec 709 from Rec709 sources, you should not expand the luminance.
If you have calibrated it using video inputs and intend to use it with VGA
or DVI sources, you would need to re-do the calibration with the input you
are going to use.
