Re: [Avid-L2] map button to timeline view

I do it all through my workspaces and toolsets, which I think are awesome navigational devices. Once you create a workspace and give it a name, if you double click on it in the settings list you'll see an option to "Activate Settings Linked by Name."When you then give your timeline view a name that matches the workspace, say "Dialog Editing" when you recall the workspace the timeline view changes as well. With Toolsets, the comparable setting is a menu item under "Toolset" called "Link Current to.."

I think I remember way back when being able to map a function key to
call up my various timeline views. But now if I try to map a menu to a
button when I select the timeline view it tells me that menu item cannot
be mapped. Is there a trick?
